The 2nd China International Import Expo(CIIE) opened on November 5 in Shanghai. The next day, SSE received the government delegation from India, one of 2019 CIIE’s guests of honor.

India announced its 100% electric mobility plan in 2030. Although the supply of electric vehicles is growing rapidly, the construction of supporting charging infrastructure is still scarce. With the opportunity of CIIE, Government of Karnataka hopes to introduce quality partners to accelerate its electrification process. SSE EV charger entered India‘s mainstream charging market a year ago, charging the first batch of electric buses in Delhi, which makes SSE Karnataka’s first choice.

The delegation accompanied by Mr. Pan Fei, the president of SSE, visited the largest new energy bus parking lot in China, Shanghai Zhennan Road bus terminal. The charging station with a total capacity of 12,000 kW was constructed by SSE in 2016. SSE offered nearly 100 sets of 75kW, 150kW DC chargers and intelligent monitoring system solution, which can charge for 400 buses and 300 taxis in the station.

Mr. Pan introduced the optimization plan of the charging station designed by SSE and took delegation to visit the “SSE Cloud” charging management service platform. The delegation was impressed by the speed of electrification in China and the intelligence of the charging facilities, and expressed strong intentions for cooperation. Buses, taxis and government vehicles are the main directions for the promotion of new energy vehicles at this stage in India. They are very much looking forward to seeing charging stations of this scale in India in the near future, which means India is closer to "2030 plan".
