May 31, SSE turnkey project- the solar power generation demonstration project of Shell gas station in Melbourne, Australia was successfully completed.

The capacity of this project is 30kW, which is in the charge of Victorian Automobile Trade Association. After half a year of study and review, Victoria Motor Trade Association and Shell chose SSE as the EPC contractor of the demonstration project.

Drastic changes took place in Australian PV market this year. In January, the Australian government lowered the new round of subsidies in advance, which is supposed to be implemented in July. This resulted in sudden silence in Australian solar installation market which was originally in a rising trend. Some distribution-based companies have been closed down or switch into other areas due to poor management or intense competition. But in the meantime, the policy change did not slow down the rising pace of the power price and the Australian power retail company raised the electricity tariff again in March by 10% -15%.

To cope with this sudden change, SSE Australian branch adjusted the marketing strategy decisively. With small power inverters breakingthrough the market in small batch, we integrate our superior resources and actively engage in project development by reference to the head office marketing line. Australian market is demanding for the quality and performance of solar products and it also has very strict standards on safety as well as safety construction. Surpass Sun gradually stands out from numerous Chinese manufacturers by combining our technical superiority and experience in project development based on localized operations and being strict in quality of products and construction. Up to now, SSE Australian branch has been involved in  around 20 MW medium-sized and ground-based solar power projects and our partners includes Coca-Cola, K-Mart, the  largest edible oil processing plant in Australia and other enterprises.
